Our Commitment to Accuracy and Transparency
At HinduDwesha.org, we recognize that data about anti-Hindu hate incidents must be collected and published responsibly. Our methodology is built around a multi-step, role-based process that ensures each report is reviewed, categorized, and referenced with care—balancing crowdsourced input with human verification.
How Incidents Are Aggregated and Published
We follow a three-tiered process involving distinct user roles, each contributing to the integrity of the database:
1. Contributor
- Anyone can submit an incident as a Contributor.
- Submissions include key fields such as:
- Incident Category (e.g., verbal abuse, vandalism, assault, institutional discrimination)
- Location (country, state, city)
- Victim Details (where identifiable and relevant)
- Perpetrator Information (if publicly available)
- References – links to news articles, social media posts, photographs, videos, or official records
2. Reviewer
- Once submitted, incidents are reviewed by a user with the Reviewer role.
- Reviewers assess:
- Clarity of information
- Consistency between reported details and referenced sources
- Proper categorization and tagging
- Completeness of metadata (time, place, individuals involved, etc.)
3. Publisher
- After a successful review, a Publisher conducts a final validation.
- Only then is the incident published in the live database, making it available to the public.
- A visual indicator would specify if an incident is published without review.
Manual Verification Process
Every incident goes through a manual verification process before it is published. This includes:
- Checking if references support the description of the incident
- Verifying whether the classification and location tagging are appropriate
- Ensuring the language used in the report is objective and free of speculation or exaggeration
While we strive for the highest level of accuracy, HinduDwesha.org is a crowdsourced platform. We do not independently authenticate the source material (such as verifying the legitimacy of every article or video), but we do require all submissions to cite references, and we perform a good faith review of those references.
Limitations and Disclaimers
⚠️ Disclaimer
HinduDwesha.org provides a platform for collecting and organizing data but does not claim to own or guarantee the authenticity of any individual incident.
Each report is linked to external references. However, due to the complex and sometimes subjective nature of hate incidents, and the variation in source reliability, we acknowledge that not all reports may meet journalistic or legal standards of evidence.
We welcome the refutation or challenge of any incident through our feedback system. Incidents found to be misreported will be updated or removed following investigation.
Continuous Improvement
We are continuously refining our methodology based on:
- Feedback from users and researchers
- Advances in data verification practices
- Evolving patterns in how Hindu hate manifests
